How do I choose the right breeder?
Websites help, but personal connection matters. A good breeder welcomes communication and stays in touch long‑term.
Check health contracts, DNA testing, kitten age at release, and whether kittens are raised in‑home. We require a first video chat so you can get to know us and your kitten, and so we can learn more about you. This helps ensure you know exactly what to expect and that we feel confident about where our kittens are going.
Avoid “bargain” kittens sold too young or without health testing — costs often add up later.
Important things to look for:
• Will the breeder do a video call?
• Are kittens raised in a home, not cages?
• How many breeding cats do they have?
• Do they offer a health contract?
• Are breeding cats DNA‑tested negative for HCM?
• Are kittens spayed/neutered before leaving?
• Do kittens stay until at least 12 weeks?
• If you are looking for purebred original ragdoll kitten, do the breeder's adult cats and
kittens have blue eyes?
• Does the breeder show their cats?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you breed Cherubim?
No. We breed Ragdolls blue eyes pointed only and do not use Cherubim (non‑pointed) lines. We don't have them in our cattery. We preserve traditional Ragdoll pedigrees.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Why do breeders charge different prices?
Prices vary by sex, spay/neuter costs, and show quality.
Be cautious of no health tested or no health contract or sending kittens home with no spay or neuter.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Are Ragdolls hypoallergenic?
No. Ragdolls are not hypoallergenic.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How are Ragdolls with other animals?
Ragdolls are gentle and usually do well with other cats, dogs, and even birds.
Always supervise introductions until you’re confident everyone gets along.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do Ragdolls shed or their hair matted?
Yes, but less than most long‑haired breeds.
Their coat sheds in easy‑to‑clean clumps, especially in spring.
Grooming needs are minimal; we recommend to comb them especially before winter. We sometimes have to shave lion style to our stud.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Will you ship your Ragdolls?
We cannot ship kittens without an in‑person meeting due to federal regulations.
You may pick up your kitten, meet us, or request personal delivery.
If a trusted family member can meet the kitten in person, shipping with a courier may be possible.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Why do you keep kittens 12–14 weeks?
Kittens stay until 12–14 weeks (sometimes up to 16) to ensure proper development, socialization, and full immunity.
This age is recommended by experts and supported by veterinary guidelines.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Is early spay/neuter safe?
Yes. Early spay/neuter is safe, widely practiced, and endorsed by the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Benefits include reduced cancer risks, fewer infections, and prevention of spraying.
All pet and show kittens leave spayed or neutered — no exceptions.

Introducing Your Kitten to Your Home and Other Pets
Start your kitten in a quiet room with food, water, and a litter box. Keep the same food and litter for a few days, then switch slowly over 1–2 weeks if needed.
Let your other pets smell the kitten under the door first. After a couple of days, allow supervised exploration. Expect some hissing at first—give everyone time and repeat introductions slowly.
